Announcement    The final Sale has begun! YOU MUST READ BEFORE PURCHASING! PLEASE do NOT purchase the listings that you see here: they are simply for reference. We are going to sell on a Bake-to-order basis only. From now through January 31st, please send me a message through Etsy, or feel free to email us at Luckydogtreatco [!at] verizon.net We will compile a list of orders, first come first serve. We will start with order 1 and work through them When we are working on your order, yours will be the ONLY one we are working on. Then we go through the list. The order request time will end at the end of the day on January 31st. After that we will no longer take orders, we will just be working on filling the ones we got. Dog treats will be $5 per bag, cat treats, and dog soaps will be $4. You can order as many as you like. Each order will include a $10 flat shipping fee unless a local pickup is agreed to in advance. When your order is ready, we will notify you and put up a reserved listing here on Etsy with the total cost added for you to purchase. Once you place an order, we can not add to it! Please be patient as we do not know yet how long it will take to process all orders. We will keep you updated if there is a need. Please message us with any questions. We have only put up the reference listings of the treats that we are open to baking during this final sale. Later in the year, we will begin focusing on the remainder of our business, so be on the lookout for toys and more!

I have I think we can all agree that the year 2020 will be one that many of us would like to sweep under the rug. Highs and lows, ebbs and flows but a lot more lows than the usual. For me, it has been a tough one as well but trying to do my best like everyone else.

When I started Lucky Dog almost 13 years ago, I had no idea what would come of it, where it would take me, what I could create. Those were the big questions. What I see now is that the more important questions would have been, who will I meet? How many dogs will I get to play with? How many great stories will I hear? Because those are the things that I will take away with me, the great memories I have made with some really wonderful pet owners and their adored pets. I could never have imagined how much support and patronage I would receive over the years I have spent being known as "The Treat Lady" :) Lucky Dog has been my baby, growing and evolving, sometimes really hard, challenging work, but always my pride and joy.

With that being said, I have made the difficult decision to close the treat portion of Lucky Dog at the end of next month. Some of you may know that I took a full-time job last year that turned out to be something I really enjoy. That coupled with Lucky Dog? Well, let's just say it's REALLY challenging to work two full-time jobs...Its been a while since I felt I could adequately fulfill the demands of Lucky Dog to the degree that I'm satisfied with. I never really had a mission statement, but the one thing that I told myself was that I would never promise my customers something that I couldn't deliver on. Well, that time has come. Here is my preliminary information:

Lucky Dog will remain open, but the baked goods portion will be closing. I plan to expand on the soft goods portion of the business and will sell strictly from our current website, no more in-person events, farmers markets, etc.
I will have a "last chance to order treats" event in January. More details on that to come.
Our final in-person event will be this Saturday, November 21st at the Upper Merion Farmers Market in King of Prussia from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the Upper Merion Township Building.

Above all, I want to say, from the bottom of my heart, that I thank you all, so very, very much for your continued support over the years. It has been a true blessing to have met so many great people. The fact that you put your trust in my products means more than you will ever know.

Sincerely,

Marlene Doyle

We are great at baking, but printing? Not so much. So we choose to use a fellow local small business that we have had a long relationship with. They are also pet lovers which is a huge plus.
